Ägg
Ägg (Swedish for 'egg') is one half of the comedy duo at the heart of the Egmont comic strip series Bacon & Ägg, debuting in 1995. The character appears alongside Bacon in absurdist humor strips, also crossing over into the anarchic Herman Hedning comic.
Hatched in 1995 from the pen of Patrik Norrman, Ägg made their debut in Bacon & Ägg #1 and has been a fixture of Egmont's Scandinavian comics scene ever since — a Modern Age creation with a surprisingly durable shelf life stretching all the way to 2012. With 33 catalogued appearances spread across Bacon & Ägg and Herman Hedning, and three of those recognized as collector-significant key issues, Ägg is clearly more than a background player. The roster of characters sharing these pages — Bacon, Lilleman, Herman, Gammelman, and the wonderfully named Derek Jävelberg — hints at a richly comic world well worth cracking open.
