Earl J. Dukeston
Earl J. Dukeston made his DC debut in Superman #7 in 1987, stepping onto the page during the Copper Age resurgence that brought a grittier, more grounded energy to the Man of Steel's world under the pen of the legendary John Byrne. With a modest but persistent presence spread across Action Comics, Adventures of Superman, and Green Arrow over nearly two decades, this character wove himself into the fabric of DC's street-level and superhero storytelling alike. Dukeston keeps some genuinely colorful company β sharing pages with the likes of Green Lantern, Silver Banshee, and the wonderfully named Duke of Oil β which speaks to the rich, eclectic corners of the DC Universe he inhabits. A rare find for the dedicated completist, he's a small but authentic piece of the Byrne-era Superman tapestry.
