Dupond
Dupond is one of two nearly identical, bumbling plainclothes detectives (the other being Dupont) who cross paths with Tintin on his globe-trotting adventures. Hopelessly inept yet endearingly earnest, the pair are distinguished only by the shape of their mustaches.
Born in the pages of Hergé's beloved Les Aventures de Tintin way back in 1934, Dupond is a Platinum Age original — one of the earliest recurring figures in what would become one of the most celebrated comic series in history. Published by Casterman across an extraordinary span of roughly 75 years, this character has kept remarkable company, sharing adventures alongside Tintin, Milou, Capitaine Haddock, and the villainous Rastapopoulos. For fans who love the classic Franco-Belgian tradition at its finest, Dupond is a genuine piece of the foundation — a character whose debut in Les Aventures de Tintin #4 marks him as part of the very DNA of a comics institution that has captivated generations of readers worldwide.
