Dr. Fyse
Born into the pages of Herman Hedning with its very first issue in 1998, Dr. Fyse is a creature of the Modern Age — a character launched by creator Jonas Darnell under the Egmont banner into what is clearly a wonderfully offbeat corner of comics. With a compact but notable catalog presence that punches above its weight — two of just four recorded appearances earning key-issue recognition — Dr. Fyse clearly made an impression worth tracking. The company is delightfully peculiar: sharing pages with the likes of Satan, Damien Jävelberg, and Dr. Deo von Dinky suggests a world where the strange and the sinister rub elbows with gleeful abandon. For collectors with a taste for the unconventional and a soft spot for late-'90s Egmont oddities, Dr. Fyse is a small discovery that rewards the curious.
