Fresh from the Modern Age heat of Dynamite Entertainment, Doctor Bloc crashed onto the scene in 2023 courtesy of the creative team of Dan Abnett, Pasquale Qualano, and Gerardo Gambone — and what an entrance it is, landing squarely in the middle of Vampirella versus the Superpowers, one of the publisher's most charged crossover concepts. With only four appearances to their name so far, Doctor Bloc is a compact but intriguing presence, sharing the page with heavy hitters like Vampirella, Dyna Might, and Stronghold. Sometimes the most compelling characters are the ones still finding their footing in the mythology — and Doctor Bloc feels like exactly the kind of figure worth watching as this corner of the Dynamite universe continues to expand.
