With a catalog presence stretching across two decades — including the later The Maxx: Maxximized — he inhabits a universe populated by some genuinely unforgettable characters: the Maxx himself, the enigmatic Mr. Gone, and Julie Winters, among others. He may be a smaller piece of Kieth's surreal tapestry, but any character woven into The Maxx's strange, dreamlike world is worth a closer look for fans who prize comics that push the medium to its limits.
