Danny Partridge
Danny Partridge is the wisecracking, red-haired middle son of the Partridge Family, the TV sitcom clan who travel and perform together as a pop group. Charlton's comic adaptation brought Danny and his siblings — Keith, Laurie, Chris, and Tracy — to the page alongside their mother Shirley.
Straight out of the early Bronze Age, Danny Partridge made his comics debut in Charlton's The Partridge Family #2 in 1971, brought to the page by artist Don Sherwood. He shares those colorful Charlton adventures with the rest of the Partridge clan — Tracy, Keith, Shirley, Laurie, and Chris — making this very much a family affair on every level. What makes Danny's comics footprint especially fun is his crossover appearances in Life with Archie and Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica, putting him in some of the most beloved Bronze Age company imaginable. With only ten catalog appearances across a run that wrapped by 1974, tracking down his issues is a genuine treat for collectors who love that sweet spot where pop culture and comics history overlap.
