Fresh from the pages of Tina, the Dutch comics magazine published by DPG Media Magazines, Daan made their debut in 2022 courtesy of creator Marloes de Vries — a thoroughly Modern Age arrival in a beloved publication with a long tradition of stories for young readers. Over a compact but charming run, Daan shares the page with a lively cast including Lotta, Roos Vink, Bien, Jules, and Alana, the kind of ensemble that gives Tina its warm, character-driven appeal. Six appearances may be a modest count, but every comics collection has to start somewhere, and Daan is a genuine piece of contemporary Dutch comics worth keeping an eye on.
