Corporal Steve Henshaw is a soldier stationed at Fort Baxter, part of the ensemble cast surrounding the scheming Sgt. Ernie Bilko in DC's comics adaptation of the classic television comedy series.

A Silver Age barracks regular, Cpl. Steve Henshaw made his comics debut in the very first issue of DC's Sergeant Bilko in 1957, brought to life by the sharp creative team of Cal Howard and Bob Oksner. He's part of the gloriously chaotic ensemble that populates Fort Baxter, rubbing elbows with the likes of the scheming Sgt. Ernie Bilko, the hapless Pvt. Doberman, and the rest of that memorable motor pool crew. While his appearances in the catalog are a select few, that makes each one a genuine slice of late-'50s DC comedy gold — a reminder that the Silver Age had room for laughs as well as capes.
