Constable Odo
Odo is the shape-shifting chief of security aboard space station Deep Space Nine, a Changeling of unknown origin who polices the station's diverse population with gruff dedication alongside Commander Sisko and the DS9 crew.
Constable Odo made his comics debut in 1993, stepping onto the page in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Limited Edition Preview courtesy of Mike W. Barr and Lurene Haines — right at the dawn of the Modern Age, when Deep Space Nine was itself brand new and hungry for expanded storytelling. This enigmatic station lawman has kept remarkable company across his IDW appearances, sharing adventures with the likes of Captain Benjamin Sisko, Major Kira Nerys, Quark, Dr. Julian Bashir, and Chief Miles O'Brien — the full, beloved ensemble of that corner of the Trek universe. His catalog footprint may be compact, but it spans an impressive thirty years from 1993 to 2023, touching titles as varied as Star Trek: Aliens and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The Dog of War. For Deep Space Nine devotees and Trek comics completists alike, tracking down Odo's handful of appearances is a genuinely rewarding hunt through some of IDW's most character-rich licensed work.
