Chief Wiggum

Chief Clancy Wiggum is Springfield's incompetent, donut-loving police chief, known for his bumbling law enforcement and nasally voice. He transferred from the animated series to Bongo's comics page, where he continues to (mis)handle Springfield's crime with cheerful ineptitude.

Springfield's finest — or at least its most recognizable badge — Chief Wiggum made his comics debut in the very first issue of Simpsons Comics back in 1993, brought to the page by Steve Vance and Sondra Roy at Bongo Comics. A Copper/Modern Age fixture, he kept colorful company across more than two decades of Springfield shenanigans, sharing panels with the likes of Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge, and Barney Gumble across titles like Simpsons Comics and the gloriously spooky Treehouse of Horror.
