Bushwhacker Luke

Bushwhacker Luke is the comics adaptation of the real-life WWF professional wrestler, one half of the tag team The Bushwhackers. He appeared in Acclaim/Valiant's WWF comics universe alongside other wrestling superstars of the era.

Stepping out of the squared circle and onto the comics page, Bushwhacker Luke made his four-color debut in 1991 — right in the thick of the Copper/Modern Age — courtesy of Acclaim/Valiant's wild run of World Wrestling Federation comics. Sharing panels with legendary figures like The Undertaker, Sgt. Slaughter, and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, he turns up across titles like World Wrestling Federation Battlemania and WWE Superstars, part of a comics universe that captured professional wrestling's pop-culture peak. With appearances stretching all the way to 2018, this scrappy fan favorite proved to have more staying power on the page than most would have guessed from a debut in a workout special.
