Burt

Burt made his entrance in the pages of Cereal Killings #4 in 1993, a Fantagraphics publication that arrived during the indie comics renaissance of the Copper/Modern Age — exactly the kind of adventurous, off-the-beaten-path storytelling that Fantagraphics championed. Created by James Sturm, Burt moves through a wonderfully offbeat world alongside the likes of Scarecrow, Carbunkle, Snip, Doug, and Shirland, a roster of companions that hints at the quirky, character-rich texture of the series.
