Burgemeester Dickerdack stepped onto the page in 1974, a Bronze Age creation of the celebrated Marten Toonder studio, debuting in the fifth installment of the beloved Dutch comics series Tom Poes. Published by Oberon through the late seventies and into the early eighties, this character inhabits a richly populated world alongside the likes of Tom Poes, Olivier B. Bommel, and the wonderfully named Wammes Waggel.
