Bob the Alien

Bursting onto the Finnish comics scene in 1999 courtesy of creators Tym Manley and Hunt Emerson, Bob the Alien made his debut in the pages of Myrkky — an Egmont Kustannus publication that clearly had a taste for the offbeat and irreverent. This extraterrestrial oddity shares his corner of the cosmos with a wonderfully eccentric cast including Firkin, Aimo, and the memorably named Pera Pervo, suggesting Myrkky was a playground for sharp, anarchic humor. Rare in the catalog with just three recorded appearances, Bob is one of those delightful curiosities that rewards the collector willing to dig into the wilder fringes of European comics.
