Bethany

Bethany is a vampfire — a vampire-adjacent creature — from Brainstorm Comics' late-nineties indie horror-erotica series, eventually headlining her own titles after debuting in the Vampfire anthology alongside the character Echo.

Emerging from the mid-nineties indie comics scene, Bethany made her debut in Vampfire #2 (1996), brought to life by creator Holly Golightly (aka Fauve) for Brainstorm Comics — a publisher that carved out its own bold niche in the Copper/Modern Age. She went on to headline her own titles, including Bethany the Vampfire and Bethany the Vampfire: Lingerie Secrets, sharing her darkly alluring world with the character Echo across Vampfire: Erotic Echo. A cult figure of late-nineties alternative comics, Bethany is a rewarding discovery for collectors drawn to the era's fearless, creator-driven storytelling.
