Benny Klimp
Benny Klimp burst onto the Scandinavian comics scene in 1992, courtesy of creators Arild Midthun and Ninna Jansson, debuting in the pages of MegaPyton during the Copper/Modern Age. Published by Atlantic Förlags AB, Benny inhabits a wonderfully offbeat corner of Nordic comics, sharing those anarchic pages with the likes of Redaktörn, Rhesus Minus, Pervo-Kris, Lillstark, and Tommy Tusch — a roster that hints at the gleefully irreverent humor running through MegaPyton and its sister titles Pyton and Pyton skoldagbok. With appearances spread across the mid-'90s run through 1997, Benny is a genuine artifact of that era's bold, boundary-pushing Scandinavian humor comics — a small but spirited slice of a publishing world that deserves far more attention from collectors beyond its home shores.
