B-ko
B-ko is a character from the anime-inspired comic adaptations of Project A-Ko, appearing alongside rivals A-ko and C-ko. A brilliant but antagonistic young woman, she is best known for her genius-level intellect and the elaborate mechanical suits she builds to challenge A-ko.
Debuting in the pages of Mangazine #23 in 1993, B-ko is a Copper/Modern Age character brought to life by creator David Matsuoka and published through Central Park Media. She shares her adventures with the likes of A-ko and C-ko across titles including Project A-Ko versus the Universe and Project A-Ko 2, placing her squarely in the lively world of anime-inspired American comics publishing. With only 8 catalog appearances across a run stretching from 1993 to 1996, she's a compact but colorful piece of that distinctive era when manga and anime sensibilities were making exciting inroads into Western comics β a genuine find for collectors with a taste for the offbeat and international.
