A product of Marvel's early 1990s Copper Age energy, Armory burst onto the scene in Brute Force #1 (1990), courtesy of creators Simon Furman and José Delbo. With only a handful of catalog appearances, this is a character whose footprint is small but whose company is memorably wild — sharing pages with the likes of Bloodbath, Wreckless, Uproar, Surfstreak, and Tailgunner in one of Marvel's more delightfully offbeat corners. If you're a collector with a soft spot for the weird and wonderful fringes of the Marvel Universe, Brute Force is a genuine curio, and Armory is part of what makes it worth hunting down.
