Annie Wheeler

Born onto the highways of Marvel's Bronze Age, Annie Wheeler roared into comics with U.S. 1 #1 in 1983, courtesy of creators Al Milgrom and Herb Trimpe. This short-lived but gloriously offbeat Marvel series gave her a world of open roads and colorful characters — she shares those pages with the likes of U.S. Archer, Wide-Load Annie, and Poppa Wheelie, a cast as vivid and larger-than-life as the trucking culture that inspired them.
