Who is Aahz?

Aahz is a wisecracking, sharp-toothed Pervect — a demon from the dimension of Perv — who finds himself stripped of his magical powers and reluctantly becomes mentor to the bumbling young magician Skeeve, the two navigating a comedic, dimension-hopping fantasy world together.

Bursting onto the Bronze Age comics scene in 1984, Aahz is one of the most distinctive creations to emerge from WaRP Graphics' wonderfully offbeat catalog, debuting in Myth Adventures #1 courtesy of the imaginative team of Robert Asprin and Phil Foglio. Sharing his pages with the likes of Skeeve and Frumple, Aahz inhabits a gleefully irreverent fantasy world that set WaRP Graphics apart from the superhero mainstream of its day. With appearances across Myth Adventures and the Warp Graphics Annual, this character may have a compact comics footprint, but every appearance is a reminder of just how much personality and charm the indie comics scene of the mid-'80s could pack into a single series.
