What Is the Story in Abbott and Costello Comics #12 About?

Abbott and Costello Comics #12 from St. John follows Bud Abbott and Lou Costello as a pair of fast-talking salesmen who ride into a rough western town called Wagon Gap — and promptly get into serious trouble when a stray bullet leaves them accused of killing a man. The local judge sentences them to care for the dead man's widow, Mrs. Hawkins, and her children, landing the duo on her ranch where they are hilariously out of their depth. They have to deal with the widow's schemes, her spirited daughter Juanita, and a very intense herding dog named Wolf who does NOT cut them any slack.
