Who Is Robert Crumb?

Robert Crumb is one of the most legendary underground cartoonists in comics history, best known as the creator and driving force behind Zap Comix, which debuted with Zap Comix #0 in 1968. He's the mind behind iconic characters like Mr. Natural, Fritz the Cat, and his infamous self-caricature, weaving raw, confessional, and often provocative humor into the counterculture movement of the late 1960s and beyond. Crumb also appeared as a fictionalized version of himself in San Francisco Comic Book #3, published through Last Gasp, serving as a meta-commentary on underground cartooning culture.
