What Is Forbidden Worlds?

Forbidden Worlds was a classic anthology comic published by American Comics Group (ACG), running from 1951 to 1967 for 145 issues. It featured science fiction, fantasy, and supernatural tales in the tradition of the great anthology books of the Golden Age and Silver Age. Dark Horse later collected the best of these stories in the Forbidden Worlds Archives series (2012–2014), which ran 3 issues and is a great way to sample the original material. The stories ranged from alien invasions and strange dimensions to eerie supernatural encounters, making it a beloved but sometimes overlooked gem of mid-century comics.
