This is an anthology issue containing multiple horror stories. "The Dark Phantom" follows a man who seeks Professor Mavelli's help to contact the legendary Dark Phantom through supernatural means in order to rescue his love interest Gail, risking his life in the process. "The Haunted Hoard" tells of young Jimmy Severn who explores the deserted, reportedly haunted Denning mansion searching for a hidden golden treasure to help his poor widowed mother, only to discover the ghost's true identity and receive unexpected aid. A third story involves a ship's crew encountering a vengeful dead man's spirit that must be contained in a bottle, with the spirit prophesying destruction unless it is freed.
