# Catalog Note: Weird Tales, April 1927

This issue features "Explorers Into Infinity" (Part 1) by Ray Cummings, a three-part interplanetary serial about space voyage and madcap adventure. The author's foreword theorizes about infinite space and time, proposing a material universe extending infinitely outward. The opening chapter, set in a future with Martian communication, begins with narrator receiving a message from Brett Gryce.

The issue contains eight additional stories: "The Castle of Tamara" by Maria Moravsky (Caucasus romance with horror elements), "The Death of Time" by W. E. Underwood, "The Endocrine Monster" by R. Anthony (jungle deaths near a cabin), "The Ruler of Destiny" by Charles Hilan Craig (mad scientist with deadly gas), "Out of the Earth" by Flavia Richardson (Roman encampment elemental), "The Return" by G. G. Pendarves (desert burial mystery), "Shadows Cast Behind" by Otto E. A. Schmidt (San Francisco waterfront ghost tale), and "The Chairs of Stuyvesant" by Baron Victor Rousseau (eighth in Dr. Ivan Brodsky series). Additional stories include "The Youth-Maker," "Windows of Destiny," "Faces," and "Drome" (Part 4). Robert Louis Stevenson's "Markheim" is reprinted.
