Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Bebop & Rocksteady Hit the Road #3

The chaotic road trip of TMNT's most lovably destructive duo continues in issue #3 of this 2018 IDW miniseries, and the cover by Nick Pitarra says it all — Bebop and Rocksteady are buried in an avalanche of snack food and junk, with a pair of enormous fuzzy dice looming overhead as a helmeted figure gets caught up in the mayhem alongside them. It's a wonderfully unhinged snapshot of the pair's knack for turning any situation into a disaster zone, rendered with wild, densely packed energy. Writers Ben Bates and Dustin Weaver, with art by Dustin Weaver and colors by Brittany Peer, have clearly committed to making this series as gloriously ridiculous as its central characters deserve.
