Startling Comics #41

A society editor's wedding is disrupted when the bride, Joyce, is kidnapped by operatives seeking an idol she possesses. Dick Martin, a troubleshooter, pursues the criminals across mountainous terrain to a waiting boat, discovering that Joyce has been taken by someone with knowledge of naval intelligence work. When the cable supporting an elevator snaps, Joyce plummets but is rescued by Dick, who then confronts the well-dressed villain behind the scheme—revealed to be after the idol Joyce had promised to surrender.
