Spunky #2

This anthology issue features two stories: "The Smiling Spook," in which Spunky the ghost causes mischief while trying to retrieve a buried milk machine from a farm, battling a temperamental bull and destroying the machine with dynamite in the process; and "Rootitoot," a text story about an old-fashioned car horn with a gentle voice who warns a jaywalking boy to cross safely before finding himself stranded by city traffic. The issue concludes with a comic story featuring a watchman pursuing mischievous cats through a building, with the cats evading him by climbing stairs and using an elevator to escape to the second floor.
