Civilian Nick Fury is approached by Captain Sawyer for a secret mission to China to investigate missing aircraft. Once there, he meets some of the men who will be part of the Howling Commandos in years to come. Flying reconnaissance, he encounters the ancient dragon Fin Fang Foom, who shows him visions of great conflict in the future. After he is rescued he decides to enlist in the Army to join in the upcoming war.
