Metro 2033 #3

Based on Dmitry Gluhkovsky's post-apocalyptic world, this third volume — Ogen der Duisternis ("Eyes of Darkness") — brings the Dutch-language Metro 2033 comic adaptation to an atmospheric high point. Peter Nuyten's cover painting sets the tone perfectly: five armed figures move cautiously across a snow-blanketed plaza toward the imposing columns of a monumental building, their footprints trailing behind them in the eerie stillness of a frozen, abandoned world. It's a quietly haunting image that captures the desolation and dread at the heart of this 2022 Arboris release.
