M.G.M.'s Spike and Tyke #12

Spike and Tyke set out on Christmas Eve to find their friends, only to discover everyone’s missing—until a surprise chase through a department store leads them straight into a festive trap. Disguised as Santa, the dogcatcher doesn’t haul them off to the pound, but instead ushers them into a joyful reunion with Bowser, Scotty, and all their pals at a surprise holiday party.

Spike and Tyke score a pair of sausage links from a gruff butcher, only to learn they must wait until they get home to eat them—no easy task when hunger strikes fast. By the time they reach their doghouse, the sausages are frozen solid, so they light an old log to cook them, unaware it’s the home of a very put-out rabbit. Now stuck with a displaced cottontail and a doghouse full of smoke, the duo must trade their sausage dreams for a new mission: begging for carrots.

In this playful 1957 tale from M.G.M.'s Spike and Tyke #12, Jerry and Tuffy pull a mischievous prank by painting spots on themselves to convince Tom that they have mousles—mouse measles. When Tom flees in panic, the duo decide to turn the tables and chase him, escalating the joke with a well-timed paint can ambush. The chaos unfolds as Tom ends up covered in spots, mistaken for infected, and suddenly the roles reverse.

In "Winter Coat," Tyke tries to convince Spike to play outside, but Spike refuses, claiming it’s too cold. When Tyke spots a Santa-clad prowler sneaking around, he hatches a plan to lure the thief into the house—only to trap him with a bag full of bones and a fake beard that ends up on Spike himself.
