"Lovers' Lane" #6 contains at least two main stories. The first, titled "For Better For Worse," follows a newlywed couple as they navigate living with Steve's domineering mother, Mrs. Jennings, who controls the household and resists the couple's plans to decorate their own room and establish independence; Mrs. Jennings eventually agrees to let them live in their own house while saving money. The second story, "I Married a Ladies' Man," chronicles a young woman named Ellen who falls in love with Phil despite warnings from friends and her disapproving mother that he is too attractive and a ladies' man; Ellen marries him anyway, though she worries about his fidelity. The issue also features an advice column by Ada Nevill addressing readers' romantic and dating dilemmas.
