Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe #1

Longshot steps into the spotlight in this 2014 miniseries opener, with David Nakayama's cover placing the luck-powered hero front and center — hands raised, a golden light blazing between his eyes — while a ring of Marvel faces including Black Widow, Hulk, Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, and more float around him like a cosmic roll call. The title says it all: one charmed Mojoworld refugee versus the entire Marvel Universe's fate, and Christopher Hastings and Jacopo Camagni are clearly having a great time with that premise. If you've ever rooted for the underdog with the best odds, "Part One" is a very promising place to start.
