History

Charles Soule, who had written 'Death of Wolverine' in 2014, was brought back by Marvel to close the loop on the resurrection mystery he himself had initiated — a deliberate creative continuity that gave the event a unified authorial voice across its anchor issues. The issue was a 40-page oversized one-shot, with interior art split between David Marquez and Paulo Siqueira, while Steve McNiven — Soule's collaborator on 'Death of Wolverine' — contributed the standard cover, providing a visual bookend to the death storyline. Editors Jordan D. White and Mark Paniccia oversaw the issue under Editor-in-Chief C.B.
