Commander Winslow faces peril during an Arctic Expedition where he battles a polar bear in icy conditions. The issue also features "Don Winslow of the Navy Meets Singapore Sal," in which Winslow encounters the notorious pirate Singapore Sal operating off the coast of Singapore and preying on merchant vessels in those waters. Additionally, the comic includes a secondary story about a character named Flatbush who gets a tryout with the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team, and a "Wings" adventure where a character uses Winchester Super Speed roller skates to save a movie theater from fire. The issue concludes with a Navy Quiz section testing readers' knowledge of naval facts and history.
