Davy Crockett #1

"The Creek Rebellion" follows Davy Crockett as he encounters a dangerous bear in the wilderness, killing it in self-defense with his hunting knife. Later, Crockett decides to sell staves down the Mississippi River and plans a journey to earn money. The narrative then shifts to depict Crockett's involvement in a military conflict, where he and his men engage Mexican forces near the Alamo, successfully defending a supply train and later receiving praise from Jim Bowie for his bravery. The story concludes with Crockett encountering Native Americans, initially mistaken for an enemy but eventually establishing a peaceful understanding with their chief.
