Crime and Punishment #3

"Obey the Law" follows Emil, a criminal trapped in a building by police who give him ten seconds to surrender or face gunfire. Emil escapes through a window but is pursued and eventually captured, learning that his accomplices—including the drunk and destitute Lesley Ketchell—have all been arrested or met tragic fates, each receiving prison sentences. The story concludes with Emil imprisoned, reflecting on how crime does not pay as his associates suffer the consequences of their lawless lives.
