Black Panther: Blood Hunt #1

The cover of this first issue in the three-part Blood Hunt tie-in makes an immediate statement: Black Panther's masked face fills the frame, mouth wrenched open to reveal dripping fangs and claws, splattered with blood against an almost total darkness. Andrea Sorrentino's cover art leans hard into the vampire-tinged horror atmosphere of the Blood Hunt event, giving T'Challa a feral, unsettling energy that signals something has gone very wrong for Wakanda's king. With Cheryl Lynn Eaton writing and Farid Karami on interior art, this 2024 miniseries looks like a genuinely compelling corner of Marvel's bloodiest crossover.
