An anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "Rescue Out of the Unknown" tells of trapeze artists Lily and George LeBecque at Barron's Continental Circus, where George's trapeze snaps during their act; Lily is mysteriously saved from a fatal fall by an unseen force, and learns George has broken his back but insists the act must continue with a new partner while he recovers. The issue also includes "The Elevator to Room 1313," in which a man seeking a non-existent room in a building encounters supernatural circumstances involving a mysterious elevator and a vanished marriage record related to a woman named Margaret Lawrence and a fire that destroyed a town.
