But let us begin with Moses, who they say predicted the future nativity of Jesus. Moses, therefore, not once, nor twice, nor thrice, but very frequently thinks it fit that one God alone should be honoured, whom he denominates su- preme. But he never says that any other god is to be worshipped, though he speaks of angels and lords, and many gods, He considers, how- ever, the first god as transcendant, but does not think that there is any other who ranks as second, neither similar nor dissimilar to him, according to your fabrication.
