While a newsp per, advice-to-the-lovelorn column fig- ured in another picture recently pro- duced, it is hardly a major criticism that the idea is used in “Hi, Nellie,” because newspaperman acts and talks and lives more like a newspaperman than most of his predecessors. And, for once, the newspaper itself is not a tab- loid, and the proprietor is neither a gangster nor a crook.
