# Headlight Harry's Hunt; or, The Railroad Pards' Rough Run in Satan's Camp

This serial Western adventure by Col. A. F. Holt follows the Railroad Pards—Headlight Harry and Rufe Ruffle—as they pursue a lost treasure in the Colorado Mountains. Arriving via stage at the remote mining settlement of Satan's Camp, they encounter a mysterious beardless youth who commandeers the coach during a violent road-agent ambush, killing driver Jockey Joe before vanishing upon arrival. The Pards, disguised as miners, find Satan's Camp a lawless den where murder occurs openly and unpunished. They observe a casual killing in the street and cautiously explore the settlement, searching for the mysterious youth while avoiding conflict. Their arch-enemy King Kirby operates the "Gamblers' Glory" saloon. Inside, they witness the arrival of Tom the Teaser, a red-haired bruiser and camp bully who boisterously buys drinks for the crowd, creating the setup for impending confrontation.
