This issue features five continued serials. "The Fourth Chum" by John Schoolcraft begins a four-part story. Max Brand's "The Stranger at the Gate," a six-part serial, continues in part two. Charles Wesley Sanders' "Out of the World for a While" reaches part three of four. Laurie York Erskine's "The Laughing Rider" continues as the fourth installment of a six-part serial. Kenneth Perkins' "Desert Nomads" concludes its six-part run. The novelette and short story section includes works by John D. Swain, Arthur Hunt Chute, Edmund Elliot, Reita Lambert, and Leslie Gordon Barnard. Poetry contributions appear from Percy W. Reynolds, Jack Hyatt Jr., Martha Ostenso, Leslie Ramen, and Mary Carolyn Davies. The following week will premiere Isabel Ostrander's serial "Annihilation," described as featuring ex-policeman Timothy McCarty investigating mysterious deaths at New Queen's Mall.
