About the series
A short-lived Image series from 2016, Throwaways ran for three issues and centered on a government program that weaponized teenagers with psychic abilities. Writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Nick Dragotta brought their sharp, high-concept style to a story about young people being trained as living weapons, questioning the cost of their extraordinary powers. Though brief, it remains a tight, thought-provoking sci-fi thriller from a celebrated creative team.
