Tangent Comics / Secret Six

In 1997, DC Comics launched the Tangent Comics imprint as a self-contained universe of reimagined heroes, and this one-shot by writer Chuck Dixon and artist Tom Grummett introduced a fresh take on the Secret Six. Rather than the familiar team of villains, this version assembled a disparate group of strangers—each with their own mysterious abilities and agendas—who were forced together by circumstance.
