Roy of the Rovers

Roy of the Rovers (1987–1993) was a long-running British sports comic from Fleetway Publications, centered on the fictional football club Melchester Rovers and its iconic striker, Roy Race. Best known for its dramatic, underdog storytelling and its integration of real-world football culture, the series became a beloved institution in UK comics, with writer Tom Tully and artist Joe Colquhoun among its most celebrated contributors.
