Terry Moore’s Motor Girl (2018–present, Schreiber & Leser) is a compact, standalone series about a woman running a remote Nevada salvage yard who finds herself contending with a very real, very talkative alien gorilla—and the government agents who want it back. Moore, the celebrated creator of Strangers in Paradise, writes and draws every page, blending his signature character-driven storytelling with a warm, offbeat sci-fi premise. Though it ran only one issue, the series is a concise showcase of Moore’s ability to balance humor, heart, and a touch of the surreal.
