M/XX Zine

Grupo Editorial Vid · 1999–2003 · 42 issues
About the series

From 1999 to 2003, Grupo Editorial Vid published M/XX Zine, a 42-issue anthology that brought together some of the most beloved names in manga and anime-inspired comics for Mexican readers. The series is best known for featuring the work of Naoko Takeuchi (creator of Sailor Moon) and the all-female collective Clamp (Cardcaptor Sakura, X/1999), alongside regular contributions from writer Brenda Nava. As a key title bridging the late-’90s manga boom and early-2000s Latin American fandom, M/XX Zine offered a curated mix of serialized stories and standalone features that made it a touchstone for a generation of readers discovering Japanese-style storytelling in Spanish.
