About the series
In Les Chansons illustrées de Thiéfaine, the French publisher Soleil launched a comic series in 2007 that visually interprets the poetic, often surreal lyrics of singer-songwriter Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine. Each issue pairs his songs with original artwork from a rotating roster of European comic artists, turning music into sequential narratives. Though only one issue has been released so far, the project stands as a unique, ongoing collaboration between music and bande dessinée, capturing the moody, literary spirit of Thiéfaine’s work.
